Cerritos, CA, May 1, 2002 --
Corelis Inc., today introduced a new ultra-high-performance,
self-contained network-enabled, intelligent boundary-scan
controller. The Net-1149.1/E integrates the power of a local
area network into the entire boundary-scan development,
production, test, and in-system programming process. It
provides an intelligent interface, with memory-behind-the-pin
architecture, between any PC or workstation that has networking
support for TCP/IP protocol over Ethernet and any JTAG
compatible Unit Under Test (UUT). It supports the 10Mbps and
the Fast Ethernet 100Mbps (IEEE 802.3) protocol.
The IEEE-1149.1 JTAG Test Access
Port (TAP) has programmable TCK clock rates up to 40MHz, and
also includes 4 general programmable purpose I/O lines,
individually controlled, for remote control and sense. The
Net-1149.1/E serializes to the JTAG Test Access Port (TAP)
boundary-scan instruction and test vectors which are previously
loaded by the host over the network. The UUT responses are
stored in the on-board 16 Mbytes of dual-port memory and
uploaded to the host for further analysis.
A high-performance 32-bit RISC
processor receives data from the UUT and provides only relevant
information to the host without host intervention. This assures
maximum test throughput and frees the host of the overhead
involved in serializing the boundary-scan data, thus enabling
the user to achieve higher test speeds.
"Utilizing the Fast Ethernet
protocol, boundary-scan test vectors can now be loaded to the
Net-1149.1/E and applied to the unit under test at previously
unachievable speeds. This results in increasing test throughput
and reducing in-system programming times. For very long tests
such as Built-In Self-Test, the Net-1149.1/E frees the host to
perform other tasks while testing is in progress." said Menachem
Blasberg, president of Corelis, Inc. "The standard 16 Mbyte
on-board pattern memory, allows sufficient vector depth to
handle test applications involving complex ASICs and highly
populated boards without the need to reload the memory."
High-level software to support for
the Net-1149.1/E is provided by the Corelis ScanPlus family of
software products. These Windows 95/98/NT/2000/Me/XP products
offer Automatic Test Pattern Generation (TPG), test execution,
in-system programming of CPLDs and flash memory, and fault
diagnostics for boards.
A Scan Function Library (SFL) for
Windows 95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP, UNIX and Linux is also supplied
with the product to allow the end user to create powerful
customized test programs. The Net-1149.1/E controller ships
with built-in self-test software and Plug and Play Windows
95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP Scan Function Library and device drivers.
Boundary-Scan is an embedded IC
technology for in-system programming and testing of digital
circuit boards and components that have been standardized as
IEEE Std 1149.1. Corelis’ ScanPlus Boundary-Scan tools include
hardware and software products offering exceptional ease-of-use
combined with advanced technical innovation.
The Net-1149.1/E is available from
stock.
Corelis Inc., offers a broad line
of boundary-scan software and hardware products for interconnect
testing, in-system programming of Flash memories & CPLDs, JTAG
emulation and debugging. It includes full range of IEEE Std
1149.1 boundary-scan testers for the ISA, PCI, PCMCIA, LAN, USB,
cPCI/PXI and VXI busses. Corelis also provides various
engineering services and is well known for its outstanding
customer support.
