-- Corelis Inc., today unveiled a new high performance
intelligent boundary-scan controller device, USB-1149.1/E, that
connects to a user’s PC via the high speed USB 2.0 (Universal
Serial Bus).
The Corelis USB-1149.1/E is an
intelligent test controller that can be used in the testing and
programming of devices, boards, or systems, compliant with IEEE
Std 1149.1. It connects to the PC via the standard USB port that
allows quick and convenient installation on any computer without
opening the PC. The controller offers excellent performance due
to included performance-enhancing innovations that increase test
vector throughput. The test clock (TCK) is user programmable
with speeds up to 100 MHz. The JTAG ports and discrete I/O
voltage levels are programmable from 1.25 to 3.3V and are 5V
compatible.
The USB-1149.1/E allows a laptop
computer to be used for boundary-scan testing, in-system
programming, and emulation in various phases of a product life
cycle such as design, manufacturing, and field service.
Boundary-Scan test vectors developed with Corelis' ScanPlusTPG
Test Program Generator can be executed directly on the
USB-1149.1/E controller.

The USB-1149.1/E controller ships
with built-in self-test software and Plug and Play Windows
95/98/ME/NT/2000/XP Scan Function Library and device drivers.
The USB-1149.1/E is available from
stock with a list price starting from $2,950.
