What’s New in ScanExpress 10.0.0

Link to Schematics from Advanced Diagnostics

ScanExpress Runner Advanced Diagnostics now features hyperlinks to a schematic PDF file. Clicking on a net name, for example, will automatically open Adobe Reader and search for that net name in the schematic. The schematic link makes it easy to use schematic data to identify circuit connections when debugging PCBA test failures.

NetUSB II Update

The ScanExpress software suite has been updated with support for new models of NetUSB II (rev G and greater). Additional signal pins have been added to provide better compatibility for test plans that utilized the NetUSB-1149.1/E for direct SPI and I2C access. The NetUSB II can be configured to match the original NetUSB-1149.1/E pinout for easier migration. Additionally, ScanExpress applications include a migration wizard to aid in moving existing test plans to new JTAG hardware.

Improved APIs

ScanExpress Programmer now features a 64-bit API for integration into 64-bit applications and systems. The new Windows DLL enables support for 64-bit versions of NI LabVIEW as well as third party programming languages. Additionally, we’ve made improvements to relative file path handling in multiple APIs and improved TMS reset support in the ScanExpress Runner Gang API.

Bug Fixes and Improvements

ScanExpress version 10.0.0 is a feature release with improvements across multiple ScanExpress applications. This includes improved interface enhancements, improved device support, and more. Customers with a current support contract are welcome to upgrade for the latest bug fixes and improvements.
